Miss Maryann is a licensed NYC DOE teacher in an elementary school and also a licensed Zumba instructor.

 

Maryann started dancing right before her 3^rd Birthday and has taken Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Pointe, Salsa & Belly Dancing.

 

Miss Maryann danced until she was pregnant with her daughter Marlana and after she had her daughter, she says she needed to lose some baby weight so While she still had such a love for dance, she became a licensed Zumba instructor! Maryann absolutely fell in love with the program and got licensed in Zumba Gold, Zumba Kids, Zumba Kids Jr., Zumba Toning and Strong by Zumba.

 

Miss Maryann attended the Zumba Convention in Orlando, Florida in 2012. Miss Maryann taught Zumba her entire second pregnancy and had a beautiful baby boy named Joseph, also known as her Zumba Baby. Maryann taught the entire time she was on child care leave from the DOE and once she returned full-time, this past September, she could not give Zumba up and teaches 2 times a week!

 

Maryann also teaches Zumba Kids at a few other schools and camps. Maryann has done many Zumbathons to raise money for different causes, including the Bay Ridge Relay for Life and has also brought Zumba into some of her DOE classes!

 

Maryann loves bringing fitness into children’s lives!
